JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Forklift Operator in Ladson .

Main Responsibilities:

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards and ensure that loads are secure.
• Move goods packed on pallets around the warehouse facility.
• Operate pallet jacks to move freight and materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks and storage areas.
• Prepare product for shipment by placing boxes in the correct pattern on pallet, as required by the customer.
• Visually inspect for quality non-conformances (i.e. improperly placed boxes on pallet, damage to the box, etc.) and make proper adjustments before shrink-wrapping the palletized load.
• Stack empty pallets or other material, as applicable.
• Perform daily equipment checks (i.e. recharge the truck’s battery, lubricate equipment, etc.).
• Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.
• Dump materials into hoppers, as necessary.
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse floor.
• Adhere to all warehouse and forklift safety rules, quality standards and procedures.

Job Requirements:

Responsibilities of a Production Operator includes:

Perform production tasks according to standard operating procedures and manufacturing guidelines.

Operates manufacturing equipment in accordance with correct procedures.

Complies with EPA and OSHA codes and regulations; Adheres to proper safety practices in the performance of all tasks.

Complete quality records for manufactured products.

Guide other Associates in their assigned duties when needed.

Coordinate with Production Manager to prioritize and schedule work orders to meet deadlines.

Identify and report unsafe practices to Manager immediately.

REQUIRED Experience and Education:

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED), and or combination of experience and education.
