Facilities & Construction Manager Full Job Description: Bharat Forge Aluminum USA is looking for a full-time Facilities and Construction Manager to manage the multi-phase expansion of the 77-acre site in Sanford, North Carolina Job Requirements: The purpose of this role is to bring your leadership, organizational, and management skills to manage the construction phases of Bharat Forge’s Sanford expansion(s), leading multiple projects from concept through completion and close-out stages.

Specific Duties include Develop project schedules to meet customer timelines.

Work with Bharat Forge Engineering and other functional groups to develop building layouts with enough detail for use in bid packages.

Work with Purchasing and other functional groups as needed in the definition of contract bid packages and in coordinating clear scopes of work.

Review technical aspects of bid packages to aid in awarding the winning contract.

Issue POs for construction tasks as needed.

Oversee construction stages to ensure they meet required timing.

Notify management of potential delays and advising of countermeasures to recover lost time.

Review and interpret designs and drawings, overseeing resolution of drawing interpretation problems, conflicts and errors.

Recognize change conditions with respect to the contract and notifies appropriate parties.

Work with Local, State, and Federal agencies as needed for development of the property as needed for construction to take place.

Coordinate inspections and testing of work, where it is the responsibility of Bharat Forge.

Work closely with Finance and Project Managers to define budgets and closely monitors costs.

Create correspondence to owners, contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, etc.

Maintain as-built drawings.

Lead constructability reviews and value engineering functions Lead project close-out activities, including close-out of all action items necessary to meet full terms of the contract.

Communicate and reinforce the Company vision, values and goals.

Perform additional assignments per Manager’s direction Ensure facility preventing maintenance tasks are set up with the local maintenance department.

Ensure critical spare parts are determined and either readily available locally or stocked on site.

Required Skills Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience 5 years in the construction industry, preferably in the design & build of industrial facilities.

Good interpersonal skills.

Able to work with people to resolve conflicts and drive parties to meet challenging timing schedules Good computer skills with Microsoft operating systems and Office Software such as Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and MS Project, as well as AutoCAD for reviewing and managing construction drawings Excellent math, reading, writing, and communication skills with diverse audiences Highly organized and efficient time management
