Electronic Assembler

This is a Full-time position in East Providence, RI posted September 14, 2021.

CoWorx Staffing is currently seeking Electrical Assemblers to join our team in the East Providence, RI area. The purpose of this position is to assemble wiring harnesses and cables with accuracy, quality and production documentation, along with testing the products during and after the assembly process.

Job Requirements:

Primary Duties:

  • Cable and harness production including wire crimping and cutting, visual inspection of
  • parts and soldering
  • Interpret and follow cable-assembly instructions, schematics, and manufacturing
  • drawings
  • Prepare and assemble electronic, electrical and mechanical components
  • Use hand and pneumatic tools to strip and crimp
  • Handle and label all wires, connectors and cables of assembled unit, properly
  • Perform pre-assembly checks on components and conduct post-assembly inspection of
  • final product
  • Clean and organize jobsite and comply with established workplace safety practices
  • Operate and maintain various hand tools, crimp tools and assembly-line equipment
  • Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Team Leader
  • Provide hands on job training to coworkers as needed
  • Perform other duties as requested by Team Leader, Production Supervisor or Manager

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience in crimping cables and dressing out wire-harnesses
  • Certification or Training to IPC/WHMS Standard 620 is desirable.
  • Knowledge of wiring color codes and wire size
  • Familiarity with using automated testing equipment, soldering irons, crimping tools and other hand tools
  • Ability to read and work from manufacturing drawings and schematics
  • Ability to adhere to all applicable company quality standards for cable assembly
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
  • Follow directions carefully to complete the orders correctly.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Must be available and willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to satisfy customer needs.

Hours:

  • 1st shift (Rotating Schedule) A week 7am-3:30pm, B week 10am-6:30pm
