ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Perform all individual work assignments in the areas of carpentry, cement work, plumbing, electrical, insulation, drywall, painting, welding, and/or heavy equipment operation as directed by Construction Supervisor in a timely and professional manner Provide Manager with timely information as to the completion status of assigned task or project, any equipment or supply needs, and any problems confronted or anticipated that might impact the completion of your assignment Participate as a team member with other Construction Workers and Supervisor in order to meet the completion date of individual or team assignments or projects Comply with all safety program requirements and work to promote safety in the workplace QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required 2-3 years previous experience in one or more of the below mentioned skill areas: carpentry, cement work, plumbing, electrical, insulation, drywall, painting, welding, and/or heavy equipment operation Skills and Abilities: Fluent in English and skilled in oral and written communication Ability to use tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous manner when dealing with co-workers and the public Decision-making, problem solving, and time management skills Ability to handle multiple projects or tasks simultaneously with self-direction Proficiency in one or more of the following trades: carpentry, cement work, plumbing, electrical, insulation, drywall, painting, welding, and/or heavy equipment operation Physical Demands: Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment.
Frequent kneeling, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving through-out day.
Regular lifting of more than 20 lbs.
