Job OverviewSafety Specialists to work at client locations in the Chicago Land area.
Currently seeking 5 Safety Specialists.
The Safety Specialist provides sound advice and guidance to workers and employers in construction and industry in recognizing hazards and providing resolutions.
Through observation and coaching they improve the work place in meeting and exceeding the OSHA requirement for employers to provide a safe and healthful working environment.
Candidate will be assigned to a specific site and remain there until completion.
Position length is 5 months to 1.5 years.Responsibilities and DutiesUnderstands the OSHA regulations and how they are applied.Recognizes hazardous situations and mitigates satisfactorily.Can present ideas in a clear and concise manner.Can work in high profile situations with a level headed demeanor.May be required to work long hours and off shift times.
Willing to travel for extended periods.QualificationsLooking for individuals with:Minimum of a HS Diploma.
Some college preferred.Looking for experience in oil/gas industry, construction trades or power plants.Good communications and computer skills a must.Must be able to pass background, alcohol and drug screening.OSHA 30 Hour Required.OSHA 500 or Safety certification Preferred.Job Type: ContractPay: $20.00 $44.00 per hourExperience:Construction Safety: 2 years (Preferred)
