Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Safety Manager with a background in construction to join our team!
DCS will provide the necessary tools, mentorship, and resources needed to be successful.

The Safety Manager is responsible for implementing DCS Contractings safety program and safety culture to ensure our companys greatest asset, our employees, stay safe and return to their loved ones every day.
Coordination, communication, and organization are essential skillsets required by this position to be successful.
All objectives for this position are established between the safety manager and the Senior Management of the company.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Maintains comprehensive safety and health program for the company
Perform Site Safety Inspections, record findings, take photos, and track on inspection log
Ensure all job site daily paperwork related to safety is completed accurately and on-time
Monitor job sites and work with field leadership to ensure all job site personnel are complying to DCS safety standards
Lead companys Safety Committee
Attend and participate in the weekly project management coordination meetings and discuss safety related topics
Attend weekly project meetings to discuss recent safety findings, needs, and/or concerns
Keep track of the companys near-misses and discuss with management
Review and analyze Job Hazard Analysis from DCS and Subcontractors crews
Provide construction safety knowledge and training to DCS crews and subcontractors to ensure Job Hazard Analysis are effective and accurate
Respond, investigate, and record all safety incidents
Provide Toolbox talk meeting topics to project teams based on scope and weekly project characteristics
Conduct in house training for OSHA 10, excavations, competent person, first aid, CPR
Track and maintain in house employee training logs
Ensure training is scheduled and completed for all new employees
Maintain stock, distribute, and keep inventory of the companys PPE for employees
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelors degree from a four-year college, technical school, or university in Safety Management, Construction Management, Business, or equivalent construction safety experience
Minimum of 5 years of construction safety management experience
Experience working for a self-performing construction general contractor preferred
OSHA 30 hour in construction certification
OSHA 510/500 a plus
First Aid/CPR certified
Advance knowledge of construction safety standards
Experience developing a Site Specific Safety Plan
Experience developing a corporate Health and Safety Plan
Must have experience assessing training needs, preparing trainings, and leading training classes
Must have experience in Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Confined Space, and Excavation classes
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs
Skills and Attributes Necessary:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong ability to communicate professionally and effectively through all mediums to staff, management, peers, clients, and business partners
Accountable, highly organized approach with strong attention to quality and detail
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to accomplish multiple ongoing responsibilities
Bilingual preferred
