Headquartered in Chicago, we have offices in Champaign, IL, Orlando, FL, Philadelphia, PA.The primary responsibility of the Construction Project Coordinator is to provide project support within the construction management team, as related to delivery support for water main and/or street restoration construction projects, including construction document and records management, communications, reporting, permitting, and construction-related contractor/CTR/owner coordination. The Construction Project Coordinator will be the point of communication between CDWM, CTR and CDOT with regard to resolution of construction-related permitting issues. Success the position requires a high level of ability to maintain documentation, mostly related to field documentation from inspectors and resident engineers, but also related to client, city agencies, utility agencies and contractor communications. Responsibilities may be complex in nature and may require independent judgment to complete. Since a significant element of the role involves communication with internal and external team members and stakeholders, strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.Responsibilities:• Support to construction management team members (construction managers, resident engineers, inspectors, and senior construction administrator) for collection, recording and distribution of data, communications, coordination of meetings and materials, financial tracking, preparation of reports, and other tasks to enable their efficient and effective work and to best support success of the project and all stakeholders• Support pre-construction and construction activities through meetings, communications, technical reviews, document management and reporting.• Support engineers and coordinate with contractors to assure the permits are secured and permit requirements are met for each project.• Collect, audit and maintain construction documentation, maintain accurate records of construction material quantities, and process payment requests for each project.• Track work orders for each project in the CDWM program database.• Assist the CM team with project status tracking.• Assist the CM team with project technical/conflict issues resolution.• Coordinate updating and maintenance of project lists and databases.• Assist with monthly group operations status reporting.Necessary Abilities and Skills:• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Required proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Windows, Word, Outlook and Excel.Professional Qualifications:• Required 3 or more years of project support experience preferably related to water/wastewater, transportation or general civil engineering/construction.• Required high school diploma or equivalent• Preferred A.S., A.A. or B.S.
