Construction Materials Inspector Trainee

SC Stevenson Consulting, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Construction Materials Inspector Trainee to join our Ashland, VA team. We will teach you how to take samples of soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt on construction sites. You will learn how to observe and record findings using the American Society for Testing & Material (ASTM) standards. You will perform basic laboratory tests on soil and concrete and preparing reports of results. This is an entry level position with room for growth.

Required:

• High School Diploma/Associates Degree
• Able to work off-shift hours, including some weekends
• Able to climb ladders
• Able to lift 40lbs repeatedly
• Prior experience working on construction sites
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Must be a team player and able to work well with clients and co-workers

Full time position, eligible for overtime, including off-shift hours and weekends. Full time position with benefits including paid vacation and holidays, 401(k), medical and dental insurance.
