Construction Laborer

Montana Underground Construction is seeking Construction Laborer for the 2021 construction season.

This full-time position includes general Construction Laborer tasks.

Wage is proportional to qualifications and experience.

Prevailing wage rate may apply to some jobs.Position Responsibilities Include:Work cooperatively with team in fast paced environment.All general Construction Laborer tasks necessary to complete project.Assist Equipment Operator in paving, building and installing or repair of structured pipe systems.Grade and level project sites and trench bases, using machines and hand tools.Loading and unloading building materials, machinery and tools necessary for project.Labor performance includes but not limited to building, shoveling, sweeping, raking, paving, pipe installation, jack hammering, drilling, and mechanical assistance.Complete all duties as instructed by supervisor, tasks will vary depending on scope of project.Job site preparation and clean-up.Follow all safety procedures on the job site.Demonstrate professionalism to properly represent company and services provided.Promote team approach and maintain open communication with all employees to exchange information in a professional manner.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Include:Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods, under all climate conditions.Ability to perform duties that require extended periods of time standing, stooping, kneeling, walking, pushing, pulling, and climbing.Knowledge and experience using various measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools.Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instruction.Ability and willingness to learn additional skills.Have a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.Ability to multi-task and set priorities effectively.Ability to work independently and be a motivated self-starter.Ability to travel periodically.Requirements:Must be punctual and reliable.Construction background or experience preferred.Must be physically able to repetitively lift or carry 75 pounds.Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.Must be able to pass background screening, pre-employment and periodic drug screening.
