Summary

Construction Manager to handle retail construction projects in the Missouri market. Partner with clients from conception to completion while managing the the construction process, general contractor, architects, and engineers.

Client Details

My client is an established construction management firm specializing in the retail and restaurant spaces. They are headquartered in St. Louis and do work throughout the state of Missouri. With a backlog of work for 2021 and 2022, they are looking to add another project manager to their team. Their client base is extremely diverse which keeps the job from becoming monotonous. They are not a political business, everyone has equal opportunity to be successful with them. Their work is autonomous, allowing you to work from home and create your own schedule.

Description

• Partner with the client from design stage through to completion of the project, managing the process and selecting the construction team.
• Assess potential risks to the project prior to kickoff
• Establish effective communication lines between the general contractor, engineers, and architects to ensure scheduling and budgets
• Lead meetings with the general contractor to stay up to date on the project time lines
• Communicate with the owner on necessary changes to budgets and schematics
• Facilitate client relationships to ensure long-term, repeat business opportunities

Profile

• At least 5 years of experience in a project manager or construction manager capacity at a general contractor or construction management firm
• Experience in the retail, restaurant, or commercial construction sectors
• Ability to manage multi-million dollar projects from groundbreaking through to completion
• Some knowledge of estimating is preferred
• Can work autonomously while creating their own schedule
• Travel up to 60-70% locally to project sites
• Bachelor’s degree is a plus
• Procore is a plus
