The Estimator/Project Manager Position requires the following skills:
Strong work ethic and POSITIVE attitude Persistent, patient, and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Communication
– Strong Communications Skills are essential.
Ability to effectively communicate (in written, verbal, and graphic form) complicated concepts to both clients and subcontractors.
Experience
– MUST be knowledgeable in residential construction and remodeling.
MUST have the ability to read a Blueprint and create accurate estimates.
Flexibility
– Demonstrate flexibility to navigate multiple priorities on various projects.
Critical Thinking Skills Capable of problem-solving and navigating multiple priorities on various projects.
Organization Skills Excellent ability to keep detailed notes and information.
Planning? Must ensure that all work is done on time and within the projected budget.
Time Management?
– Complete estimates within 24 hours of assignment.
Relationship Building ability to develop and foster strong relationships with industry partners, subcontractors, and, most importantly, our clients.
Computer Skills Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Creating Benchmarks?
– Create benchmarks (checkpoints) to evaluate the progress and status of the project.?
Risk Management?
– Identifying and responding to potential issues throughout the project’s life to minimize potential negative impacts and help ensure the safety of the workers.
Distributing Resources?
– Understand what materials are needed and ensure that there are enough materials to finish the job.
Managing Budget?
– Manage the financial plan and consistently evaluate the project budget.
Including staffing needs at jobs.
Keep Track of Inventory?
– Keep track of all inventories on-site and in trucks.
Follow Safety Standards?
– Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations.?
Managing Relationships with Key Stakeholders?
– Coordinate and maintain relationships with sub-contractors to ensure they have the resources available to complete a project.
