Duties and Responsibilities
Program, set-up, & run CNC mill/lathe machines
Troubleshoot programs, make corrections and give feedback to Manufacturing Engineers
Properly setup and use cutting tools and fixtures
Using gauges and measuring instruments to ensure proper quality
Understand, interpret and write basic codes/programs as needed
Perform cleaning and maintenance on machines such as cleaning metal chips out of CNC machines
Check daily liquid levels of machines
Follow inspection and status reports
Comply with quality policies, specifications and work instructions
Other duties as requested by supervisor and/or management
Skills and Experience
Associates Degree for CNC Machining/Programming or 5 year minimum of relevant CNC machining/programming experience
Ability to read/interpret blueprints and work instructions
Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide and perform metric conversions.
Ability to read and use quality inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers and gauges
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, bend, lift and reach for periods of time
Must be able to follow all shop rules and all safety rules
Must be a motivated team player and work well with others with little supervision
Ability to work overtime as needed
