Class A CDL Construction Operator

Overview: Corrpro Companies, Inc.is looking for an experienced Construction Operator with a Class A CDL to be responsible for operating equipment and installing materials for construction service projects.

This is a full-time, long-term essential services position with full benefitsCorrpro, a subsidiary of Aegion Corporation,is a corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, and corrosion monitoring business for the protection and preservation of infrastructure.

Corrpro provides professional corrosion consulting andcathodic protection engineering services to major oil companies, government agencies, municipal water, sewer and gas utilities, universities, and public transportation agencies.

Corrpro has construction installation services, including crews and equipment to install cathodic protection systems.

Responsibilities: Review field file with Construction Foreman or Project Manager to understand job requirements for materials and installationEnsure that job materials and equipment are ready before starting workOperate construction equipment job to meet job specifications and customer requirementsNotify Foreman of unanticipated field changes and suggest possible alternativesOperate and maintain company vehicles and equipment safely at all timesReport vehicle and equipment maintenance requirements to construction foremanDocument and record IFTA mileage reports for monthly tax payments by the companyMaintain a valid driver’s license andCDL driver’s ratingParticipate in weekly toolbox safety meetings and document equipment safety inspection auditsDocument deficiencies in safety practices/equipment to the construction foremanTravel to customer sites to complete projectsOther tasks as assigned Qualifications: Valid drivers license with a Class A CDL3 years of construction labor and equipment operating, such as auger drill, excavator or backhoe, experienceBe able to effectively communicate with both customers and fellow employeesAdjust to work-related demands without becoming frustratedDemonstrate conscientiousness and dependability to produce resultsMust be able to travel overnight during the week and, as needed, over the weekendAdditional Job Requirements:NACE Certification as a Corrosion Tester, helpfulExperience in cathodic protection installations, helpfulDemonstrate willingness for continuous self-improvementPersist at difficult tasks despite unexpected obstaclesMaintain all company records and documents in strict confidenceSeek increased opportunities for responsibility to achieve personal growthRecognize company goals and maintain spirit as well as letter of the rulesPhysical Job Requirements:Standing and walking required throughout the day.

Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting are required.

Occasional climbing required.
