Responsibilities Basic X-Ray Machine Technician (BXMO) Responsibilities Greet patients as they are brought back to the examination rooms and X-Ray Enter patient medical information into Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system Show patients to exam rooms and prepare them to see the practitioners Operate X-Ray Equipment to obtain appropriate images for the practitioners.
Adequately input X-Ray orders with appropriate billing codes to the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system Upload diagnostic imaging brought in by patients to PACS (Picture Archiving Communication System) Prepare the practitioners iPads with the diagnostic imaging of the patients being seen the day of clinic.
Monitor the PACS during clinic to confirm images are being moved efficiently.
Required Skills Basic X-Ray Machine Technician (BXMO) Qualifications Current Florida Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BXMO) or Radiologic Technologist (RT) license Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant, EMT, paramedic program and/or x-ray-based training program Knowledge of x-ray techniques and proper patient alignment during procedures Must be willing to travel/float between all BioSpine facilities CPR, BAT and DOT Collector certification a plus Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent preferred One year of previous Basix X-Ray Machine Operator and/or urgent care experience preferred One year of previous Ortho Spine experience preferred.
Must be computer literate; Microsoft Excel, Word and Teams is a plus; Knowledge of NextGen EMR is Helpful.
