Description of Position – The Assistant Superintendent will provide supervisory leadership, enforcement, and management assistance to the Project Superintendent to ensure the safe, quality construction of the Work of Project, on schedule, within budget, and with exemplary customer service

Organizational Relationships – The Assistant Superintendent reports to Project Superintendent.

Normal inside contacts will include: all employees of CF Evans field and project management team.

Outside contacts will include: subcontractors, vendors, building inspectors, architects, engineers, and clients.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Manage and enforce CF Evans corporate safety, quality, and schedule / production management programs, as well as project planning and customer service programs, for the Work of the Project
Review, check, and coordinate project-specific contract documents, drawings, specifications, submittals, etc., for the Work of the Project
Demonstrate ability to develop a clear understanding of all aspects of subcontractor trade work, including means and methods, to ensure competent coordination and successful installation for the Work of the Project; Proactively anticipate and initiate risk management and problem solving
Demonstrate industry knowledge and clear understanding of subcontract trade work, vendor, and third party pre-planning, monitoring, and inspection activities to ensure Work of the Project conforms to requirements and meets goals in daily enforcement and management of assignments
Demonstrate clear understanding of the cost of putting work into place, the critical importance of monitoring labor productivity on a daily basis, and an awareness of costs attributed to non-conformance delays and rework for the Work of the Project
Proficiently utilize and leverage technology tools and solutions to ensure consistent and reliable results, gain efficiencies, and improve project team performance in daily management activities
Proficiently set direction, align resources, and motivate and inspire to address daily goal setting and accountability with subcontract supervisors in daily management activities
Requirements of the Positions
Education & Certification – Bachelor s degree, preferably in Construction Science, Engineering Technology, Management, or related education and/or experience; OSHA 10 completion card
Recommended Work Experience – 3-7 years relevant experience in construction
Physical Demands – Prolonged standing, sitting, walking, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching (with arms and hands), handling, talking, hearing, depth perception, lifting, vision (close, peripheral, depth, ability to adjust focus), and lifting/moving up to 35+ pounds
Working Conditions – Considerable local and non-local travel may be required; Work with a group and/or team; Frequent conflict situations may be present; Work after normal business hours; Potential hazardous work; Frequent exposure to extreme outside weather conditions and high levels of noise
