Assembler

This position is responsible for producing products and components by assembling parts and subassemblies. This role prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and/or visual factory and will operate industrial production and processing machinery in a safe, clean, and efficient manner. This position works under direct supervision.+ Assemble parts according to work instruction, verbal instruction, drawings, and/or diagrams + Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements+ Executes assembly sequence duties consistently meeting productivity and quality expectations Loads materials and products into package processing equipment; weighs materials to ensure compliance with specifications + Obtains, moves, sorts, and labels material, and containers + Operate production machinery, as neededEducation & Experience+ High School education or GED preferred + Minimum 3 months experience working in a production environment Skills & Abilities+ Ability to read, understand, and navigate through online assembly process documents + Understanding of basic math skills: adding, subtracting and measuring + Ability to read drawings & blueprints + Ability to safely utilize assembly tools as appropriate for the successful completion of production tasks + Ability to communicate and follow instructions effectively both verbally and in written format+ Ability to use judgement related to identifying potential safety hazards + Ability to multi-task Work Environment/Physical Demands: + This position requires 20% clerical and planning and 80% material handling, production assembly machine operations, and/or walking and assisting production employees + Work is primarily performed on the manufacturing floor where noise levels may be moderate or high and hearing protection may have to be worn+ Eye and foot protection may have to be worn + There is potential for lifting weights up to 45 lbs. + There is potential exposure to extreme temperatures + The occasional physical demands of the position include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and eye/hand/foot coordination+ May stand or sit for prolonged periods of timeShifts Available:+ 1st Shift Mon-Thurs 5:00 am – 3:30 pm+ 2nd Shift Mon – Thurs 3:30 pm – 2:00 am+ 3rd Shift Fri- Sun 5:00 am – 5:30 pm+ 4th Shift Fri – Sun 5:30 pm 5:30 am Leviton is an EEO/AA Employer.
