Chipton-Ross is seeking an Assembler for an opening in Hillsboro, OR.SUMMARY:A Manufacturing Assembler I is someone who thrives on challenge and continually looks for opportunities to learn.
This role is responsible for ensuring that production assembly is actively engaged, meeting customer demands and the production schedule.
The Manufacturing Assembler I also provides effective training to other assembly personnel and ensures safety and quality standards are maintained at all times.
The Manufacturing Assembler I requires the use of a variety of hand tools, fixtures, mechanical work instructions and test equipment.RESPONSIBILITIES:Following audit and safety guidelines.
Participation in resolving production challenges.
Assist in set up or selection of specialized equipment.
Perform a wide variety of troubleshooting to identify problems.
Perform machine set-up, calibration and preventative maintenance.
Conduct assembly work using prescribed methods/work instructions.
Collect test date and enter to database and make process decisions.REQUIREMENTS:Aptitude or interest in precision mechanical assembly required.
Experience in manufacturing preferred.
Demonstrated examples of successfully working on a team.
Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and lift 35lbs as well as frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands at arms-length, stoop, kneel and crouch.
Ability to learn Windows-based and Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook and Access) Ability to analyze and solve basic problems independently as well as collaboratively.
Self-motivated, self-starter with organizational skills.
Interest in supporting projects and working on collaborative teams.
Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills and can collaborate with employees of differing cultural, language, and educational backgrounds.EDUCATION:Accredited High School Diploma/GEDWORK HOURS:Full-TimeM-F approx 6am-2:30pm
– Occasional overtime opportunities on weekends.
