Overview of the Accounts Payable Clerk Role:

• Calculate, post business transactions, process invoices, and verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
• Verify invoice accuracy
• Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments
• Verify and calculate all extensions and totals on invoices (calculating and taking discounts when applicable)
• Assemble invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval
• Check vendor files for any previous payments
• Maintain copies of invoices or correspondence necessary for files
• Prepare reports listing invoice number, date, vendor data, item description, costs, and proper coding per accounting policies and procedures
• Generate periodic reports and other records
• Reconcile credit card statements
• Maintain records of all payments and expenditures
• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Produce monthly reports based on continual analysis of accounts

Preferred Experience of the Accounts Payable Clerk:

• 2 years or more of Construction AP experience
