A HOT position for a RN Director Womens and Childrens Services has just become available with a wonderful hospital near Austin, Texas.
Reporting to the CNO, the Director Womens and Childrens Services will oversee Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, NICU, and Pediatrics. The Director will be well supported by a skilled team of 4 talented Nurse Managers and Clinical Coordinators over each unit.
The Director Womens and Childrens will be responsible and accountable for departmental standards, staff competencies, and overall budget. In collaboration with the Director of Quality, the Director Womens and Childrens Services will also strive to improve the quality of patient care by utilizing best practices and implementing quality improvement initiatives. A key part of this leadership will be establishing and supporting education programs, mentoring the next generation of Nurse Leaders, and spearheading a continued focus on nursing quality and patient satisfaction for a large service line that includes: Labor and Delivery, Level II, triage, recovery and Pediatrics.
The RN Director Womens and Childrens Services will have experience in strategic planning, budget management, program development, policies and procedures implementation, performance improvement and compliance. The ideal director will have 5-10 years of leadership experience as well as BSN or MSN prepared. The RN Director Womens and Childrens Services will collaborate with other Nursing Directors, Ancillary Directors, Nursing Administration and Physicians in a variety of committees within the hospital.
