3 years of K-12 school leadership experience.
Experience with program management, budgets, and personnel administration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software/technology related to the position duties.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: Leadership experience in innovative and diverse school and/or district settings.
Knowledge of mentoring and professional development.
Knowledge of public school-university partnerships.
Attributes and skills include: ability to be self-directed, organized with attention to detail, innovative and outcome oriented, technically proficient, strong interpersonal skills, able to build collaborations, highly motivated, willing to work alone or as a group/team with needed.
Duties and Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations of the TP3 program including the daily management of project budgets.
Serve as liaison with school districts, Recruit Fellows from partner school districts, Correspond with prospective fellows and school and district leaders about the program, Lead recruitment and information sharing events, Oversee the admission of fellows, Schedule professional development for fellows, Recruit and coordinate activities and events for principal mentors and executive coaches, Attend state TP3 meetings, Complete required program reporting.
Other Work/Responsibilities Reporting to the Director of the Master of School Administration Program and Grant Principal Investigator, the Transforming Principal Preparation Program (TP3) Program Coordinator in the Department of Educational Leadership at UNC Charlotte will work with the Master’s of School Administration Program Director to oversee day-to-day operations of the TP3 grant-funded program.
TP3 is a State of North Carolina initiative that replaced the Principal Fellows program.
The recently awarded TP3 grant at UNC Charlotte provides the resources for the Department of Educational Leadership to continue its 26-year tradition of preparing Fellows to become school leaders.
