Major Accountabilities:Communicates with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing, availability and delivery;Follow up to ensure delivery of goods and services to users;Follows protocol within IATF16949 and ISO 14001 requirements and Martinrea Purchasing Policies and Procedures;Escalates issues from suppliers to Buyer, and Materials Manager;Inputs supplier monthly rating data into Central and sends to suppliers Prepares purchase requisitions, as per corporate guidelines Send purchase orders out to suppliers and vendors Responsible to ensure the correct documentation is supplied to all vendors such as terms and conditions and other related documentation;Communicate with all areas of the plant to ensure the needs of the company are being fulfilled through purchasing/ materials;Scan all PO’s to file;Abide by all company policies including, but not limited to the following; Health & Safety, Quality & Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, Martinrea EmployeeMaintain supplier certificate file, Bailee Bonds, and Financial Assessments Research and resolve purchase order/ invoice match issueInvestigate and help resolve receiving discrepanciesQualification:High school diploma/GEDFluent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, Outlook, etc.)High level of time management and mathematical skills;Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently;Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills / Excellent customer service skills;Xeeva/ CMS KnowledgeKnowledge of ISO 14001: 2015Knowledge of IATF 16949Work Environment:Constant communication with employees, peers, and management.Frequent distractions and interruptionsMultiple demands in a challenging and fast paced
