Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer provides specific technical expertise and support to the sales process for our application development products for Software Composition Analysis (SCA,) Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Interactive Application Security Testing (IAST) for our growing mid-market clients.

You will work very closely with the US Inside sales team to understand a prospect’s business, identify solutions based on Synopsys’ product offerings, and present those technologies and the value proposition of a Synopsys software solution.

The Sales Engineer will report to the Manager of Inside Sales Engineering.

Responsibilities Creates compelling software demonstrations that address a prospect’s business needs to both technical, security and legal audiences Develops and conducts technical briefings, and comfortable presenting in front of C-level executives Provides technical support to the inside sales team to help drive customer wins Initiates and manages multiple proofs of concepts, working directly with the prospect to deliver upon their success criteria Works closely with R&D and Product Management to provide feedback on product updates and enhancements Key Qualifications Knowledge of Software Development in any one of the following languages: Java, C#, C, .net, Go, Ruby, Swift, Scala or Python 1-3 years of customer-facing experience Willingness to learn Preferred Experience Prior software development experience Previous sales engineering experience DevOps Tools and Processes Application Security Knowledge/Experience Synopsys Software Integrity Group was named a leader for 2020 in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Application Security Testing (AST) in recognition of our vision and ability to execute.
