Primary Responsibilities: The Receptionist is expected to: Answer the telephone promptly, professionally and courteously using the verbiage requested by the General Manager. Protect the legal and financial welfare of the dealership at all times. Transfer calls to the proper department at the first time and follow up if not answered. Train new receptionists on the phone system and receptionist responsibilities. Stay up-to-date on processing dead deal letters. Keep your desk area clear of clutter and clean. Keep customer information locked up. Abide by all compliance and safety rules and regulations. Cross-train your position so when you are not able to come to work, someone in the accounting office can do your job so the work is kept up-to-date. Offer support to your manager for any task that may need to be done at the time. Be flexible with duties. There are urgencies at certain times of the month that require priorities and you must be aware of them and help as instructed or be pro-active and know what is expected. Keep the coffee station and waiting area neat and clean. Get all your work done every day. When you go home at night, make sure your email inbox is empty.
