Job Description Position: Office Administrative Assistant/ Insurance Coordinator.
Prism Autism Education & Consultation (Prism) provides year-round, intensive, therapeutic intervention for young children with autism based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Prism provides an atmosphere where children, technicians, and families can interact and support each other.
Through oversight and evaluation of individual programs, Prism can achieve its mission of ensuring that each child reaches their full potential at home and in a variety of settings outside of therapy.
Summary:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Intake Coordination
New client phone screens
Schedule and organize intake meetings
Ongoing communication with Leadership and Clinicians regarding client on-boarding timeline
Medical Record Management
Organize and maintain all client files
Insurance Authorization Management
Initial and ongoing liaison between insurance companies, clients, and clinical team
Coordinate, schedule, and complete prior authorizations and concurrent reviews in a timely manner to ensure continuous coverage
Coordinate, schedule, and participate in peer reviews and appeals with a member of the Leadership Team
Organize, maintain, and communicate up-to-date payor medical necessity requirements
Actively participate in the development of systems of record and timeline maintenance for all aspects of insurance and intake processes
Manage Prism’s Family Handbook and Calendars
Follow all HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) guidelines related to client privacy
Work with Revenue Cycle Management team to assist with appeals submissions
Communicate compassionately and professionally with families and client teams
Work collaboratively with other members of the team and supervisors
Respond in a timely manner to emails and other communication
Abide by all Prism Employee Policies and Procedures
Conduct self in a professional manner and be a model for Prism’s core values

Salary: $40,000/ annually

Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (or Job Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree, related field preferred
Understanding of CPT Codes and insurance authorization process for behavioral health preferred; training will be provided to highly qualified candidates
Ability to use compassion and judgement while maintaining strict confidentiality
Excellent communication skills
