MERS /e-Registry Analyst

Flagstar Bank is seeking an individual to join our Special Loans department as an MERS (Mortgage Electronic Registration System) / e-Registry Senior Analyst.

This position is responsible for working directly with the staff and setting an example on how to work effectively.

Knowledgeable with MERSCorp guidelines including MERS e-Registry.

Correspond with business units whose processes includes MERS, Sub-Servicing and Vendor Liaison, Support Monthly Quality Control Testing, Bi-weekly reporting to National Sales regarding Third Party Originations and Correspondent loans and Coordinate Data and Document Reviews.

Candidate should show initiative, be willing to interact with external and internal customers and have a passion for learning.

20 % of time Responsible for working with internal and external customers 20 % of time Responsible for working daily reports, researching and resolving exceptions within the time frame set by the department guidelines 20 % of time Responsible verifying mortgage documents to ensure system accuracy and drafting documents to complete incoming request 20 % of time Responsible for supporting job functions within the department which includes cross training / participating in special projects 20 % of time Candidate will receive ongoing training to stay abreast of compliance standards, system updates and department guidelines Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Completes all required compliance training.

Maintains knowledge of and adhere to Flagstar’s internal compliance policies and procedures.

Takes responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations and policies.

Job Requirements: HS Diploma, GED or Foreign Equivalent Black Knight Mortgage Servicing Platform 1-3 years mortgage servicing experience Microsoft excel with ability to perform v-lookup and Word Internal Use Only: Band J-hrly
