Responsibilities
Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner
Sustaining the organization of various files and providing general office duties, e.g.
faxing, data entry, scanning, etc.
Highly-responsive to telephone calls in a detail-oriented and effective manner within minimum rings
Facilitating the management of patient medical records
Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations
Recording patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
Aiding patients with paperwork
Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean; reporting on any damage
Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures

Requirements
– General grasp of medical terminology
1+ year of experience as a Medical Receptionist
Incoming phone call management skills required
Proficiency with multi-line phone systems required
High School Diploma required, A.S.
Degree in healthcare/related field preferred
Ability to multitask effectively
Command of Electronic Medical Record
Experience with Receptionist Duties
Foundational knowledge in electronic medical records
Proven knowledge of customer service
Proficiency in Basic Medical Terminology
Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Office Suites
Solid understanding of Basic Medical Terminology
You need experience with insurance billing and an electronic medical record system, as well as social media platforms
