Join us in creating a sustainable future and becoming a protector of tomorrow!We are looking for a highly-skilled individual who will provide administrative support to the facility.Essential job functions:* Answers telephone and directs the caller to the appropriate department.* Performs varied HR-related administrative tasks.* Supports the business function with tasks that include organizing, auditing, filing, laminating, copying, and typing.* Manages incoming and outgoing mail.* Reviews and ensures data for the Operations Departments are communicated and/or entered into the database on a daily basis.* Prepares/updates Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, databases; performs special projects and reports for management, including the operations, safety, and environmental departments.* Takes minutes for a variety of meetings and transcribes notes into final format.* Coordinates and communicates meetings and events such as tours, training, meetings, luncheons, and company-sponsored events.* Maintains office supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipates needed supplies; places and expedites orders for supplies; and verifies receipt of supplies.* Preserves office equipment by following manufacturer’s instructions to repair and schedule preventative maintenance on office equipment.* Prepares and sends items that require courier service, prepares travel arrangements, and travel and expense reimbursements.Minimum Qualifications:* High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. At least five (5) years of experience in office administrative and accounting-based functions.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:* Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.* Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work.* Strong written and verbal communication skills.* Outstanding grammar, attention to detail, and typing and note-taking skills to transcribe and create business correspondence, memorandums, meeting minutes, and reports.* Exceptional organizational and planning skills.* Problem solving, critical thinking, and superior customer service abilities.Covanta is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
