OverviewChestnut Health Systems is seeking a part-time Receptionist to work 10 to 20 hours per week for our Bloomington, IL facility.

Evening and/or weekend shifts may be required.

This position is eligible for a shift differential!

We provide fully integrated care for all of our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers.

Responsibilities Present a courteous, respectful, and professional demeanor to clients, visitors, and other staff at all times upon greeting and directing to desired destinations.

Exercise trauma-informed communication and care.

Uphold appropriate professional front desk etiquette.

Answer basic questions about clinical services, paperwork and Chestnut processes in person or over the phone; direct inquiries and calls to appropriate staff members and/or departments.

Maintain consistent knowledge of Chestnut’s emergency procedures and suitable awareness of who is in the lobby/building.

Assure the safety of clients and visitors in waiting room.

Complete Incident Reports as necessary.

Answer multi-line telephone.

Triage and transfer phone calls.

Check and log voicemails.

Sort and distribute messages to the appropriate staff members or departments.

Maintain and monitor email, fax machine, copier, and mailboxes.

Attend to the needs of clients by administering and collecting client intake paperwork, and administering and scoring clinical inventories (i.E., MMPI-2, BASIS 32).

Complete administrative tasks such as printing documents from Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.

and data entry into various Microsoft applications.

Use internal client EMR and update client demographic information as needed.

Maintain several filing systems with a high standard of organization and attention to detail.

Create shipments for FedEx.

Maintain cash drawer; collect co-payments andprovide accurate change.

Provide vending machine refunds and sell stamps as needed.

Provide support services to staff and other departments through tasks such as sending, sorting and distributing mail; photocopying, scanning or faxing documents, printing certifications and providing documents as requested.

Assist medical records with scanning internal and external documents into EMR.

Collect and forward medical records requests to the Medical Records Department.

Participate in individual supervision and team meetings for personal and departmental development.

Promote Chestnut’s culture of customer service excellence through the adherence to Chestnut’s behavioral standards for customer service.

Qualifications Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

Must have intermediate computer and typing skills; beginner skills using Word and Excel; and possess the abilityto learn other Microsoft Office Products.

Must demonstrate good business telephone etiquette and have the ability to use a multiple-line phone system.

General knowledge of standard office routines, use of office equipment, clerical skills, word processing, data entry, and filing required.

Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Satisfactory completion of Chestnut’s background checking process.
