Over the last 18 years, our organization has grown to include multiple programs and locations, including our main Rogers operations center, a Springdale operations center that opened in 2004, and two Samaritan Shop resale stores, located in Rogers and Springdale, that provides financial support to our overall center operations.
Job Description:
The Samaritan Community Center is looking for a full-time Receptionist/Bookkeeper for 36 hours per week at our Rogers administrative office.
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks
Experience with a multi-line phone system
Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office
Excellent listening and communication skills
Detail orientated
The Receptionist/Bookkeeper will be acting as the first contact for clients, volunteers, and donors who call or walk into the doors of the Samaritan Community Center and must be able to interact with every person with empathy and respect.
This person must have the ability to answer the multi-line phone system with efficiency and pleasantly.
This position will require excellent listening and communication skills, the ability to handle information confidentially/discretely, and excellent organization/multitasking abilities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
This position requires extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and bookkeeping entry with QuickBooks.
Tasks
Greet persons entering the organization, determine the nature and purpose of the visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
Provide information about SCC, such as the location of programs or offices, employees within the organization, or services provided.
Answer the telephone efficiently in a friendly, helpful manner, forwarding messages if needed.
Enter Credit Card, Debit Card, EFT, and Invoices into the accounting system.
Scan paper receipts, invoices, etc.
into digital format.
Collect, sort, distribute, or prepare mail, messages, or courier deliveries.
Deliver mail to post office as needed and check PO Box/Outside mailbox.
Receive, track data and provide receipts for in-kind donations
Keep front reception, entryway, and employee drink station organized and clean
Keep printer and copiers stocked with paper and place calls for service on printers/copiers as needed.
Take deposits to the bank twice per week for accounting
Order office supplies for delivery/pickup and insure delivery to the persons requesting supplies monthly.
Pay: $16.00
– 18.00 based on experience
Hours: Monday
– Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm and Fridays 8:30am-12:30pm
