To learn more about our dynamic, stable and growing company, visit www.Balchem.Com POSITION SUMMARY:This position is responsible for but not limited to providing administrative support which includes correspondence, filing, mail distribution, upkeep of records, onboarding new employees and coordination of schedules and/or meetings.
The Administrative Assistant must have good communication skills and possess high integrity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Purchasing and receiving of MRO parts.Closes operational job tickets within our ERP systemMaintain confidentiality of correspondence, documents, discussions, meetings and telephone callsOversee the operation of office machines such as copier/fax, phone and mail machine and computer equipmentDesign and edit drafts of correspondence, reports, forms, charts, memos, and other documents as neededManage inventory of office supplies and initiate ordersPerform data entry for special on-going projectsComply with applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/proceduresPerform daily clerical duties such as answering and screening telephone calls, taking messages, sorting and distributing incoming mail and faxes, copying and collating, and other routine duties necessary to assist senior personnel and departmental managementAssist in the hiring process, including new hire paperwork and coordination of new hire processesCoordinates various arrangements for applicable meetings and company events to include holiday party and summer picnic.Follows all safety policies and procedures including use of safety equipment (PPE) and equipment safeguardsPerform other duties as assigned by plant management and Human Resources Manager REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty independently and satisfactorily.
Must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written form and interface with all departments.
Must maintain absolute confidentiality.
Must be able to multi-task, be accurate, have good organizational skills and handle high levels of stress.

An Associate’s Degree in Business Management or a related field is preferred, but not required.
3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Publisher.
Suitable training to satisfy the duties of the job is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:Continuous physical activity through the work day such as climbing, balancing, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, hearing, talking, repetitive motion and moving objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
