Administrative Transportation Assistant Sofo Foods, one of the largest wholesale distributors of Italian and ethnic foods in the US, and has an opening for an Administrative Transportation Assistant to assist the department with the handling of driver and customer delivery needs at our main distribution center in Toledo, Ohio.
This position reports to the Director of Logistics.
Job Responsibilities
Scheduling of all Backhaul Freight with vendors.
Coordinate all inbound shipments, outbound deliveries for customers outside the normal delivery area, pick-ups and handle all over the road shipments.
Provide follow up and assistance to CSR’s and customers regarding delivery discrepancies and mistakes.
Enter into Parcel system.
Communicate with sales and customer service on all discrepancies on invoices and deliveries that will not be delivered within the time estimated.
Coordinate all paperwork with respect to daily deliveries, bill of ladings, purchase orders, and rates.
Communicate with CSR’s regarding any freight pick up planning or changes.
Assist Traffic Management team member in daily tasks.
All other duties assigned as needed to ensure excellent customer service.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
– Word, Excel and Access.
Ability to work Monday-Friday and occasional Saturdays as needed.
Ability to multi task and handle issues that arise.
Ability to pass a background check.
Ability to pass a post-off drug test.
