We are seeking an Administrative Director of Cardiovascular Services to join our team!

Henrico Doctors Hospital , the Forest Campus , is a 340-bed acute care facility located in Richmond, VA.

The Administrative Director of Cardiovascular Services is responsible for setting the strategic direction for cardiovascular services across the Henrico Doctors’ Enterprise to grow market share in the service line.

Ensure the financial viability of cardiovascular initiatives.

Establish collaborative relationships with various departments end managers within the hospitals.

Design, plan, and implement programs that promote the mission to improve the health of the communities served.

Provide clinical administration and leadership for departments that report to the service line administrator.

Leadership and management:

• Responsible for all aspects of departments (Direct responsibility for Cardiac cath/EP lab and CareAssure Program and Indirect responsibility for Non-invasive (ECHO, EKG, Vascular), Stress lab, and Cardiac Rehab operations including program goals, maintaining records, and data submission to designated agencies and departments
• Supervises staff and ensures competency, personnel management functions within the inpatient and outpatient setting.
• Monitors and ensures service line quality (eg.

  clinical outcomes, credentialing/privileging, processes, services, satisfaction).

• Promotes Employee and Patient Satisfaction Initiatives

Operations and finance:

• Develops and maintains a budget for supervising departments.
• Oversee current programs for continued success to include: ECMO Program,

Valve/Transcatheter Aortic Valve Program, Advanced Heart Failure Program, Vascular Services, and CareAssure Program.

• Establish benchmark metrics focusing on volume, market share, quality, and profitable financial performances.
• Works directly with CMO & VP of Quality to ensure regulatory requirements are met and all quality goals and initiatives are monitored and plans are executed to achieve top performance.
• Reviews performance data regularly with facility executives.

  Provide reports to medical teams, transplant center, and others as requested.

• Ensures program policies and practices meet all current applicable regulatory requirements which includes obtaining and maintaining Joint Commission Destination Therapy Certification as well as State, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, etc.

Strategic planning and business development:

• Develops and implements a cardiovascular service line business plan, driving profitable cardiovascular service line growth, and improving operations in terms of quality and processes.
• Responsible for program development and growth including planning, implementation and assessment of strategic plan to improve quality, and viability of services.

Physician relations:

• Build long-term relationships with key physicians, affiliated, integrated and/or employed.
• Facilitates discussion/forums with physicians and other stakeholders to identify best practices, share knowledge, and operationalize program improvements.

Additional duties and responsibilities:

• Performs all duties ethically, complying with all policies and procedures, federal, state, and local law.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Master’s Degree Preferred

Experience and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in cardiovascular management required; 3+ years of leadership experience required
• Success in roles requiring close monitoring of productivity metrics and active performance management.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and flexibility in working with administrators, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and improve disease-specific programs.
• Strong critical thinking, business planning and project management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
