Proficiency testing may be required prior to interviewing.Belding Area School District Mission Belding Area Schools: An engaged staff + a supportive community = successful students.Job Description Qualifications: Minimum of an Associate Degree with at least five years of experience in a secretarial or related field, preferably in an educational environment; Bachelor’s Degree and Central Office experience preferred.High level of experience, discretion and integrity in providing executive-level administrative support.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to interact effectively with students, staff, Board of Education, parents, and the community.Extensive knowledge of organizational operations, policies, procedures, and administrative support practices.Proficient computer software skills, including Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite applications.Essential Duties: The Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent shall serve under the direct supervision of the Superintendent ofSchools and shall be responsible for the following specific duties:Provide executive clerical support to the Superintendent.
o Coordinate a wide variety of reports, projects, activities and/or events.
o Prepare communications to students, parents, staff and Board of Education.Provide executive clerical support to the Board of Education.
o Develop meeting agendas, post meeting notices and compile meeting minutes within the requirements of the Open Meetings Act.
o Process Board Policy updates.Provide executive clerical support for human resource operations.
o Develop job postings and job descriptions.
o Maintain verification of teacher certification.
o Process staff employment contracts.Coordinate district Schools of Choice program.Assist in completion of state reporting requirements.
o Pupil accounting and related reporting.
