Administrative Assistant III- OB/GYN

This is a Full-time position in Aurora, CO posted December 16, 2021.

CU Medicine is dedicated to providing healthcare and administrative support to the University Of Colorado School Of Medicine’s nearly 3,000+ providers.

We are seeking a highly motivated Administrative Assistant III to join our team and support the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

The Administrative Assistant III will perform administrative duties for the Division of Academic Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

The individual in this position will be responsible will be responsible for day-to-day activities for the Division such as, expense reimbursements, travel arrangements and reimbursements, assist in medical staff credentialing processes, and general coordination of various clinical trials, educational activities, functions, and other infrastructure needs of the Division.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Plan, organize, and manage administrative activities (i.e., meetings, events, conferences, and marketing).
Manage employee and non-employee expense reimbursements including travel.
Assist the Division personnel with essential functions and operations, ensure current policies and procedures of the University and related entities are followed.
Provide administrative support for onboarding of new physicians.
Compose and distribute correspondence and communications.
Maintain and coordinate calendars for faculty.
Assist in entering and updating clinical call schedules for the Division.
Manage centralized credentialing records including shared electronic database of frequently used documents such as medical licenses, DEA certificates and Board Certification.
Work with grants administration on potential research.
Provide cross coverage with other Business Support Specialists III.
Perform other administrative duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree is preferred) and at least 3
– 5 years’ administrative experience.

Prior experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.

Must demonstrate high proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office applications.

Proficiency with MAC and ability to quickly understand and operate specified University web-based systems is necessary.

Ability to work independently and utilize critical thinking skills is required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and demonstrate considerable independence and good judgment with strong interpersonal skills, including good attitude, receptiveness and willingness to perform all requests.

Must maintain confidentiality at all times; familiarity with HIPAA guidelines preferred.
