Our K hi M hala C.A.R.E.S. philosophy (Culture of Aloha, Relationship-Based and Environment of Safety) enhances excellence of care by incorporating the feedback of both patients and staff in developing the most positive and healing trauma-informed care environment.We are currently recruiting for an Administrative Assistant to join our team of caring, compassionate staff dedicated to excellence.The Administrative Assistant is responsible for the smooth functioning of Patient Care Administration by developing and implementing efficient systems to manage the flow of work, calls, information and correspondence related to administrative operations of the organization. Provides direct support to the Director of Patient Care and the Director of Behavioral Health. Provides for the support needs of other senior leaders as requested, either directly or through systems of accountable delegation. Coordinates meetings and functions for the hospital. Maintains updated administrative polices and contracts, and other meeting documents as requested. Performs other duties as assignedEducation:Related education/training in supervision/management skills and Bachelor degree is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required.Experience:Prior office experience with office system design, implementation and maintenance is required.Knowledge:Proficiency of personal computer system programs is required (i.e., Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint); data collection/processing for statistical reports is preferred. Knowledge of alphanumeric and/or color coded filing systems, and composition, grammar, punctuation, business English for business correspondence is required. Knowledge and ability to operate photo-copying machine, facsimile, postage meter, calculator.Specials Skills/ Equipment:The ability to make decisions with a minimum of supervision, the ability to relate to professionals and non-professionals, as well as mentally and/or emotionally disturbed children and adults who may or may not be in a crisis situation, are all required. Good interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written are necessary. Ability to type 65 wpm accurately, use a word processing system and a personal computer; ability to prioritize, attention to detail and the ability to work with and maintain confidentiality of all work related information is required.Physical Requirements:Must meet basic health requirements of Kahi Mohala physical examination including TB clearance via 2-step skin test or chest x-ray. Must be able to sit for long periods at a time, frequent walks throughout the campus, bending, stooping, and reaching for filing.
