You will perform the role of a trusted advisor, consultant and market industry expert responsible for the overall successful relationship with your assigned merchants as measured by retention, profitability, growth and customer satisfaction.

The Account Manager performs strategic, tactical and support functions for Wells Fargo Merchant Services, strengthening relationships across their assigned portfolio primarily within Wells Fargo’s treasury management and wholesale banking departments.

Some travel is required.This exciting position will be tasked with developing quantifiable business/customer action plans that include management goals and profitability targets.Primary responsibilities include:Responsible for overall program growth and maintaining client relationships with less complex customer portfolio, including revenue generation, business account review, renew/review contracts, andable to manage multiple transactions.Performs risk mitigation strategies on assigned portfolio to prevent adverse impact to Wells Fargo Bank and customers.Work closely with sales consultants and various partners across the organization.May manage the implementation process by leveraging and coordinating through various internal resources.Works with technical experts and vendors to resolve customer issues and concerns related to product, funding, or servicing.Consults with the customers to seek out opportunities for process improvement.Assists with elevated customer service issues and with the preparation and presentation of proposals.Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following: account management, sales, Treasury Management, Merchant or payment processing5+ years of merchant/payments processing experience Desired Qualifications Commercial Card, MasterCard, or Visa products experienceExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsContract negotiation and pricing experienceStrong knowledge and understanding of interchange feesStrong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skillsAbility to work in a fast paced deadline driven environmentAbility to work independentlyA BS/BA degree or higherIntermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skillsPortfolio management experience Other Desired Qualifications2+ years of experience with merchant processing solutions and technologies1 + years C Suite Level Client Experience5 years and payment processing experienceJob Expectations Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Street AddressMN-Minneapolis: 600 S 4th St Minneapolis, MNNY-Melville: 58 S Service Rd Melville, NYIL-Chicago: 10 S Wacker Drive Chicago, ILDisclaimer All offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a criminal background check.
