This role provides an accelerated career path opportunity with guided mentorship.
This entry level Planner does not have E& O insurance so cannot make recommendations.Key Functions:Assist the Financial Advisor with managing client networking events and relationshipsCoordinate various client networking events, including golf tournamentsCalendar managementDaily interaction with clients to answer questions about their accounts and schedule appointmentsAssist Advisor with investment and tax research as well as preparing client presentationsCommunicate with the clients to obtain additional planning information and/or to clarify/confirm information provideOrganize and create client financial planning folders, as necessary including copying and scanning documentation.DocumentationProvide an accurate summary of clients current financial positionRecord notes in Salesforce regarding client communications, inquiries, and actions related to planningCreate basic financial plans (e.G.
Profile Plans) and assist with the preparation of comprehensive financial plansCoordinate and obtain recommendations from the Financial AdvisorGather and coordinate pertinent insurance materials and documents with the insurance department for review, as necessaryCoordinate investment allocations and/or recommendations from investment department, as necessaryAssist in the creation of other financial planning reports/analyses, such as, Morningstar, BRT and excel based analyses.Other tasks and projects as assignedEducation/Certifications Requirements:Minimum of 4-year college degree finance preferable0 – 2-years previous experience in the financial services industryCFP or Certified Financial Paraplanner with two or more years experience is desirableFinancial planning software are a plus, specifically eMoneySecurities (Series 7 & 66) and Insurance (Life, Health & Variable) licenses not required at this time, but could become required as role developsIndividual must be a self-starter and meet productivity standard and strict deadlines for plan completionIndividual must possess excellent communication, organizational, analytical, proofreading, and PC skills including proficiency in use of EXCEL and other software applications.OHSA Requirements:This position requires the ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, file documents in high or low cabinets, to use the telephone and to use the computer systems.IND123
