Lead the Association’s efforts to grow, rationalize, and integrate our tax and financial planning initiatives.
Creating greater value for our members by expanding offerings globally to engaged professionals and leading the required digital and business model transformation.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Develop an integrated strategic plan around how the Association can best create value for and support the accounting and finance profession (public and management accounting) in the tax and financial planning space.
Transform our organization and the current offerings including content, community and learning in accordance with our Go-to-Market and Association value proposition strategy, including reimagining how these technical areas can drive quality, member value and revenue.
Assess and execute necessary changes to transform scale and scope, business operations, budgeting, staffing structure, committee management and contributions, and the intersections and interdependencies among technical teams, member experience and marketing and the content supply chain.
Will have responsibility for annual revenue and margin.
Represent technical teams on the Strategy & Operating Leadership Review group and the Proposition PRB (or its equivalent) to define value propositions and prioritize initiatives, products and services and serve as a liaison among technical teams, marketing, and content operations to support alignment/execution of the new ways of working (GTM model).
Oversee tax and financial planning organizational value propositions with an emphasis on integration of individual tax and life planning; and growth in corporate and international tax to increase relevance for management accountants and a global audience.
Understand and help shape the future of the tax and financial planning segments including translating market opportunities into new product and service design and business models for the Association.
Provide leadership, strategy and support for the PFP Executive Committee, PFS Credential Committee, Tax Practice and Procedures Committee, Tax Practice Management Committee, and Tax Practice Responsibilities Committee.
Present to firms and firm-related groups on key profession and organizational activities.
Serve as an AICPA / Association ambassador when working with external stakeholders, groups and regulators, where appropriate.
Ensure related activities are aligned with AICPA / Association and discipline mission and goals.
Understand the strategic direction of the Association’s major competitors and market influencers that impact member acquisition, retention and influence the Association’s strategic plan accordingly.

Required Experience, Qualifications & Education:
Minimum of 10
– 12 years of leadership experience including strategy development and execution, and driving revenue and margin growth
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or related field
Deep understanding of content production and learning operations in an Association
Experience providing successful strategic direction to businesses
