Our client, one of the largest independent clinical research site services companies in North America, is seeking a VP of Finance to join their team!
The VP of Finance is in charge of corporate functions such as Finance, HR, and IT, reporting directly to the CEO.
The duties of a VP of Administration include long-term strategic planning, standardization of corporate functions across all site locations, ensuring compliance of all necessary requirements, overseeing daily operations, delegating tasks to staff and managing personnel.
This is a direct hire opportunity located in Raleigh, NC.
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with CEO and senior leadership to assess and understand the organizations goals, objectives and strategy related to the operations and processes across all assigned departments.
Establishes standard business practices (hiring, onboarding, terminating, performance reviews, reporting, data inputs to clinical research software, compliance, and so on) across all site locations.
Manages onboarding of a newly added site (acquisition, or JV) and brings them to the corporate standard.
Participates in business and strategic planning, implementation of policies, development of work processes, improvements and other activities as required for successful operation of HR, Finance, and IT functions.
Plans, leads, develops, and implements initiatives and associated training to support the organizations coordination and systematization of processes across various sites and locations.
Coordinates day-to-day inter
– and intra-departmental operations, while guiding and consulting departments staff to resolve issues with company operations in a timely manner.
Oversees the administration and implementation of all systems, tools, software and technology necessary to increase productivity and efficiency of the organizations operational staff.
Maintains knowledge of best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in organizational management of human resources, finance, and information technology functions and applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
Performs other duties and ad-hoc operational projects as required by the CEO and executive team.
Education Requirements:
MBA preferred.
Bachelors degree in BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field is required.
Desired Background/Skills:
Proven success as an administrative officer in a multi site, clinical research or healthcare setting
Experience in medium to large scale operations management
Solid understanding of business functions (HR, finance, IT.)
Knowledge of fiscal planning, budgeting and reporting
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and clinical compliance
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Exhibits ability to think analytically, with strong problem solving skills and decision making skills
Possesses physical and mental stamina necessary to work long hours in stressful situations.
Qualifications:
7-10 years of operational and administrative management progressive experience required.
Experience in clinical, healthcare, CRO or medical facility multi-site preferred.
