VP Assistant Controller

The Assistant Controller department is responsible for the overall completeness and accuracy of publicly issued financial statements and disclosures, along with implementing new accounting standards. This position is responsible for the design, implementation or support of procedures that will ensure compliance with accounting policies and controls, and for coordinating the annual audit of the company ‘s financial statements.

The Main Responsibilities

Primarily responsible for providing oversight and direction to the following areas:

• SEC reporting, compliance, and financial reporting
• Technical accounting, accounting policies & procedures
• SOX compliance and external audit coordination
• Accounting and reporting for shareholder or regulatory requirements, both internationally and domestic
• Demonstrating a high degree of integrity, independence, reliability, and personal accountability in this hands-on role
• Oversight of Consolidation Accounting as well as Operational Accounting teams
• M&A diligence, integration and purchase or divestiture accounting, as appropriate.
• Transformation, process improvement and project management within the accounting organization, including a wide variety of special projects and large-scale ERP or other systems implementations
• Supporting the Controller organization, and partnering with cross-functional teams within Finance and Operations to accomplish goals
• Other duties as assigned.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Required

• Bachelor ‘s degree or equivalent education.
• 15+ years related experience or 12+ years related experience with Master ‘s degree.
• CPA Certification
• Seven or more years working as an auditor for a big four public accounting firm
