Overview

FleishmanHillard, a global integrated communications agency is looking for a Vice President to join our St.

Louis office on our Investor Relations and Financial Communications team.

This position provides an investor relations and financial communications professional the opportunity to create and execute investor relations programs for public companies and serve clients across many disciplines – e.g., CEOs, CFOs, chief communicators, general counsels, and others.

Additionally, one will get the experience to work with and manage dynamic, high-performing teams in a mix of strategic corporate positioning, media relations, executive communications, internal communications, crisis counsel, and issues management, in addition to investor relations and financial communications.

Responsibilities

The Role:   
A ct as a strategic counselor, serve as a day-to-day client contact, and manage work streams and teams on program execution, including material development and oversight as well as project and account management.

Advise senior-level decision
– makers across the client’s business and deliver connective insights to assist clients in driving alignment and execution of cross-company initiatives.  Develop and manage integrated financial communications programs targeting the investor community that ensure the marketplace understands a company’s value.

Provide crisis counsel responding to investor activism, proxy contests, and SEC investigations.  Review/assess industry trends to identify opportunities to inject FH’s clients into current news cycles; drive story idea development, work closely with traditional and online media to shape and control communications that are in line with overall client business objectives.

Manage budgets and key engagements for an established and well-known client base, forecasting revenue and expenses accurately and making decisions to assure accounts run effectively and efficiently.

Lead efforts for and winning new business – either through the incremental growth of current clients or participation in large
– and small-scale new business efforts.

Structure, lead and motivate teams, and identify additional (internal and/or external) expertise to add value to client experience.

Manage  direct reports and work with them to grow their management skills.

Qualifications

Your Experience

– 10 years of demonstrably significant and successful experience in creating and leading impactful,comprehensive financial communication campaigns that integrate all facets of the marketing and communications mix.

Agency experience is a must and in-house experience, particularly in a financial communication environment, is a plus.

Knowledge of Capital Markers & Regulation Fair Disclosure a plus.

Experience managing all aspects of product launches, including messaging, materials creation, and overseeing others to drive programs to conclusion.

Investor relations experience, including: managing the quarterly earnings process, writing earnings releases, IR strategy development, annual reporting writing & project management, understanding of the proxy and annual meeting process, and financial media relations.

Strong strategic thinker, with an ability to lead the development of programs for clients and the office that are distinctive, relevant, creative, and measurable.

Ability to engage with and counsel senior level decision-makers across the client’s business and deliver connective insights to assist clients in driving alignment and execution of cross-company initiatives.

Candidate should have experience building relationships and working with diverse stakeholders effectively.

Solid team leadership and team-building experience is necessary, including management of local teams and distributed account teams.  Experience managing accounts for effectiveness and profitability, including establishing meaningful metrics and scorecards for gauging program effectiveness, and overseeing the development and management of budgets, team structure and client reporting.

Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, draw conclusions, make recommendations, establish reasonable timelines and areas of responsibility, anticipate costs, and identify measures of success.

Track record of leading efforts for and winning new business – either through the incremental growth of current clients or participation in large
– and small-scale new business efforts.
