Anaplan is looking for a Vice President, Finance, Strategy & Investor Relations

This critical role will work with senior management to develop and execute the Company’s corporate strategy and long-range plans and lead external investor outreach. This role will directly report to the CFO and manage a high-performance team.

You will leads Corporate Finance function and identifies initiatives for growth; coordinates cross functional teams to drive insight, collaboration, and improved financial performance of critical projects.

You will help architect a strategy that aligns with corporate objectives, drives and shapes our growth strategy by identifying industry trends, maintaining relationships with strategic partners that support our business development efforts, and invest in areas of growth and high ROI.  

Additionally, in conjunction with the CEO and CFO, you will develop and execute a comprehensive Investor relations strategy.  

What you’ll do:

• Partners with other functions to enhance overall governance and process for key corporate initiatives; leads development of business cases to drive optimal investment decisions.
• Leads all financial aspects of company’s long-range plan to influence company’s ongoing direction.
• Applies detailed knowledge of competitive landscape, company-wide priorities, and financial markets.
• Provide strategic support and financial guidance to senior leaders by identifying, scoping, leading and socializing explorations of market sectors that align to our strategic objectives.
• Prepare presentations on market and competitive analysis, and evaluation of new business opportunities for Board of Directors and other discussions.
• Advise management on the potential impact of business initiatives on the market and shareholders.
• Manage the company’s messaging and participation on quarterly earnings calls, investment conference calls and in-house meetings, road shows, analyst days and one-on-one meetings.

  Serve as a key spokesperson for the company.

• Nurture deep working relationships with the equity research analyst community and drive interaction and communication with all existing and potential shareholders to provide an accurate and timely view of the company’s performance and perception.

Your Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience in Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, or Investment Banking
• Experience working with fast growing technology companies, SaaS experience a plus
• Strong track record of creating positive relationships with both buy-side investors and sell-side analysts
• Understanding and ability to influence business trends and incorporate this knowledge into our external communications
• Thorough knowledge of the financial regulatory and reporting environment for publicly traded software companies
• Exceptional communications skills with the ability to develop compelling arguments and confidently and concisely present analysis and recommendations to senior leadership as well as investors and potential shareholders
• Possess a strong network of investment community relationships, including investors, analysts, rating agencies, and financial media
• Demonstrated ability to work across and drive collaboration across the broader finance, accounting, strategy, product development, and sales functions
• Approach problem solving with creativity and a strategic mindset
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, management, or finance required, MBA or an advanced degree in business, management, or finance a plus
