Position Summary:The VP of Finance will manage all financial forecasting and analyzing for SomaLogic. The FP&A team works with the CFO and senior executives to plan the business and allocate budget and resources to our strategic projects. You will provide accurate financial guidance and analytics to all levels of management to inform important decisions to pursue our financial and operational goals. This visible role will partner with the CEO, CFO and executive leadership team to analyze the financial performance, promote strategies and lead the development of essential plans including cost savings priorities.Key Job Responsibilities:Synthesize complex information, generate actionable financial and business insights, and clearly articulate the enterprise narrative for the company. Synthesize and communicate key financial and business insights at an executive-level to drive decision-making with operational executives. Develop and use data-driven analytics, including reports and dashboards, to add insights and applicable recommendations to promote growth and influence KPIs. Support the CFO and department leadership with long-term and short-term financial goals for the business. Help integrate our processes, people, and technology to identify and configure useful information, and to provide practical business counsel to support project teams across the enterprise Lead the financial planning process that focuses on value creation and aligning resources with strategic priorities. Assess business opportunities and risks with a strong orientation to long-term enterprise value creation. Create a high performing team and culture focused on value creation, delivering results, stakeholder influence and leadership development for career progression. Play a critical role as a leader in the Finance organization, bringing an enterprise-level perspective to support the strategic, talent and process improvement efforts across the Finance organization. Prepare and provide presentations to support board and shareholder meetings, monthly/quarterly senior leadership meetings and several strategic committees of the company, and support the strategic business planning process. Lead the FP&A efforts, including long term strategic planning, annual operating and capital budgets, forecasting and insights on actual results, with a focus on: Develop and manage internal and external financial communications, including key presentations to the Executive Team and Board of Directors Develop and manage forecasting, actively contributing to capital allocation strategy analysis and decision making. Develop scalable and repeatable processes with focus on continuous improvement. Lead enterprise-wide, cross-functional planning processes with strong project management and ability to drive insight. Establish credibility as a leader who can both build strong relationships and challenge leaders across the organization on financial results and plans. Integrate effectively with the finance organization, impacting and furthering SomaLogic’s customer-focused and high impact culture. Build close partnership with finance and commercial leaders across the company. Outstanding analytical skills with ability to synthesize information, develop insights and communicate effectively in presentations and in person meetings. Deep curiosity and passion for understanding and analyzing financial results in the context of creating shareholder value. Excellent communication skills with significant experience working with senior executives.
