As one of the largest independent valuation practices in the country, we provide specialized experience across a broad spectrum of industries.
Vice Presidents in the Valuation Advisory practice work on a variety of assignments, including the analysis of businesses, financial instruments and securities, and intangible assets.
Financial Industry Focus: Banks, Asset Management, Insurance, Specialty Finances, Financial Technology, and Alternative Assets (Complex Securities and Financial Instruments, and Portfolio Valuation).
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform valuations of financial services firms for financial reporting, tax reporting, and dispute purposes
Conduct valuation analyses for the assets and liabilities held by financial institutions and asset management firms (consumer loans, corporate debt, mortgage instruments, and industry-specific intangible assets)
Provide subject matter expertise to support Fairness, Solvency and Transaction Opinion analyses for financial services industry engagements
Manage engagement execution and deliverables, lead client due diligence meetings, and direct Associates and Analysts on engagement teams
Lead the preparation and review of valuation reports and presentation materials
Drive practice growth by preparing client proposals and presentations and contributing to business development initiatives
Participate in the hiring and training of Associates and Analysts
Support firm Financial Services industry initiatives across Valuation Advisory, Transaction Advisory, Disputes, Compliance, & Investigations, and Investment Banking
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrated financial modeling experience with specific focus on financial services companies, financial industry-specific intangible assets, and fixed income instruments
Strong technical and analytical skills,
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– ability to communicate technical, financial, and modeling concepts in a manner that is easily understood by clients, auditors, and internal stakeholders,
Relationship-focused (with clients, peers, management, etc.)

Education and/or Training:
4-year degree necessary with an emphasis in finance, economics, or other quantitative discipline
Minimum 5 years of experience providing valuation advisory services to financial industry clients
Demonstrated experience leading corporate and intangible asset valuation engagements for financial services firms and performing debt financial instrument valuations
Professional designation preferred – CFA, ASA, CPA, CEIV
Prior financial services industry experience a plus
