The Optum Corporate Finance team leads Optum’s financial planning and analysis, including capital, workforce, sales and revenue planning.
We partner with Executive leadership to advise on critical business and financial decisions and ensure the organization is operating with financial discipline.
Primary Responsibilities: Develop and execute on all aspects of financial planning, budgeting and forecastingDevelop, analyze and report on critical business and financial metricsDevelop, maintain and enhance financial reports that clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to planSupport effective and efficient resource and capital allocation by developing and validating business cases and financial assumptionsWork closely with the business to develop, recommend and establish strategies, plans and processes to improve profitability and cost efficienciesProduce reports that clearly and concisely communicate messages to stakeholders You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications: 1 or more years of applicable experience, including finance and/or accounting work experience, equivalent coursework or experience with data analysisIntermediate proficiency with Excel (experience with pivot/data tables, reference formulas, etc.)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracy PreferredQualifications: Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, MIS or related fieldHyperion Essbase, Planning and PeopleSoft Financials As a Fortune 6 company, UnitedHealth Group has resources like nowhere else.
