Tax Accountant

Accountants One is helping a growing company add a new role. This is a Tax Accountant that will focus on sales & use tax, business licenses and special projects as they continue to move into new states.

Job Requirements:

Job Duties:

• Assist with the preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly and annual sales and use tax returns.
• Review customer transactions generated by ERP System which will require monthly oversight through the nontax report.
• Develop ad-hoc reports using MS Excel
• Assist in on-boarding process for new sales tax compliance, including set-up of returns software and internal technology tools to manage process
• Respond to sales tax and taxability questions from operations
• Provide support for indirect tax audits and/or notices.
• Reconcile sales tax data including general ledger accounts
• Ensuring compliance for business license and tax registration. This includes completing licensing applications (new and renewal) and compiling the necessary financial data required to support the application.
• Perform other accounting duties as needed and as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Accounting, Finance or Business degree
• One or more years of experience in Sales & Use Tax filings
• Multi-state experience preferred
