In this role, the Subrecipient Accountant is responsible for the accounting, monitoring, and auditing related to subrecipient contracts and awards.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions) Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and 6 years professional accounting experience.

Preferred Qualifications
•Audit experience preferred.

•PeopleSoft or other ERP Experience preferred.

•Higher Education and audit experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities An extensive knowledge of auditing standards and generally accepted accounting principles for higher education.

Ability to analyze and interpret guidelines and contract terms.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of university, state, federal and other external personnel.

•Knowledge of the principles, practices, theories and terminology of auditing, accounting, budgeting, or financial management.

•Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data and reports.

•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

•Ability to communicate effectively.
