Summary:National foods manufacturer that has been in business for 30+ years has a need for a Plant ControllerOur client offers great benefits, stability, growth potential and a great team environment.This job is open due to a retirementBenefits:Excellent medical, dental and vision insurance401K matchWork-life balance with excellent PTO optionsFull relocation assistance providedResponsibilities:Oversee all aspects of financial reporting and control environment by ensuring compliance with financial policies and proceduresDevelop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS)Ability to develop processes to analyze manufacturing operations, guiding operational leadership to areas of opportunities to drive profitable growth and inventory improvementsMonitor cost variances and facilitate root cause/corrective action process within the siteDevelop accurate and reliable standard costs to assist quoting of new business | setting accurate benchmark for continuous improvement opportunitiesPartner with quoting and sales team to deliver on new business quoting opportunitiesEnsure leaders have timely data and reporting needed to measure performance and the effectiveness and impact of improvement initiatives, and the analysis needed to understand and address gapsPartner with corporate offices shared service to assure smooth month-end close and accounting activitiesWork with the Business Unit to Achieve budget objectives by interpreting/reporting financial data, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions.

Ensure a culture of integrity, transparency, and compliance with all relevant financial and accounting standards as well as all applicable laws, codes, and regulatory requirementsDevelop and maintain relationships with internal and external audit teamsManage a team of 2 employeesRequirements:BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or other related business-related area is required; MBA, CPA or CMA is preferredCPA/CMA designation strongly desired5+ years of progressive Finance experience in a manufacturing environment as Plant Controller or Accounting ManagerOutstanding understanding of and ensuring diligent adherence to GAAPStrong cost accounting and analytical skillsDemonstrated competence and experience in implementing and managing rigorous, disciplined financial controls, financial management systems, and enterprise performance measuresExcellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skillsSystems-savvy individual with proficiency in Excel and ERP systems; prefer SAPHigh energy, accountable and agileLean and process improvement experience preferred
