Staff Accountant – Private Equity

Position Responsibilities

PEF is seeking a Staff Accountant with 1-2 years of private equity accounting experience. The candidate will manage multiple client deliverables ensuring superior client service. These deliverables will include fund administration services provided to private capital funds such as:

  • Prepare bookkeeping and accounting records
  • Prepare support schedules for books and records (accruals, prepaid expenses, etc.)
  • Prepare Audit schedules
  • Prepare capital call and distribution calculations, prepare and distribute letters
  • SBA Compliance reporting
  • Daily Client interaction
  • Reporting to multiple managers and other internal responsibilities (filing, status reports, time tracking, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA and/or MBA are strong pluses
  • 1-2 years of private equity accounting preferred
  • Experience with Consolidated Financial Statement is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, IF/THEN, XIRR, SUBTOTAL, ROUND, named ranges)
  • Knowledge of Investran and Quickbooks is highly preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast -paced environment
