Staff Accountant
– Global Revenue Recognition CoE
Job Description Summary
This position will be a key member of the newly created Global Revenue Center of Excellence (CoE) and
will be located either in Cushman & Wakefield’s Global Chicago headquarters or in the Americas’
Finance Center in St.
Louis.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Revenue CoE, this role will be
responsible for ownership, accounting, analytics and reporting of revenue recognition across the
organization with initial emphasis on our Americas’ transactional, outsourcing and advisory service lines
and supporting special projects in the creation of the Global Revenue CoE.
This role will be key in
standing up the CoE’s performance management infrastructure including real time dashboarding, KPI
reporting, process reengineering tracking, ad hoc data analysis and scope planning.
This role will have
the unique opportunity to work cross functionally with business operations, FP&A, intelligent
automation, controllership, offshore business partners and auditors while influencing the development
of a common platform within a Global functional organization undergoing significant transformation.
Job Description
Skills / Abilities:
• Strong analytical skills to analyze revenue generating contracts and determine their impact to the Company’s results
• Prior experience auditing or applying ASC 606 revenue recognition concepts in practice
• Ability to operate under challenging time constraints, and the ability to address multiple deliverables simultaneously.
• Attention to detail is a critical factor for success in this role
• Ability to understand and communicate varying financial events in layman terms, in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders
• Demonstrated initiative, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience with financial systems such as: Workday, Salesforce Engage, HFM, SAP, Essbase, or others.
• Ability to use analytical or visualization tools (e.g.
Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau).
• Proficiency & aptitude to master and apply use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and related applications.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks as required Experience:
• 1-3 years of experience in finance and accounting roles
• Able to work in dynamic, deadline driven environment while maintaining accuracy, coordinating and performing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance or related field
• CPA/CIA certification preferred
• Strong ASC 606 revenue recognition experience and proficiency required
• Experience with finance systems (e.g.
Workday / Salesforce desirable but not essential
